Hello, and welcome, everyone. Welcome to today’s show. I hope you’re doing well, I’m so glad to have you here. It has been such an amazing week, I am just coming off of my Million Dollar Mastermind client retreat. This is for my clients who are inside of my Million Dollar Mastermind, which is my High-Level Mastermind for clients who are scaling their businesses to a million dollars and beyond.

And I have to just tell you, these retreats are amazing. And in this retreat, we did such great coaching and teaching and takeaways from the clients were really, really exceptional. And it’s been so fun now to see so many of them already be implementing so much of what we talked about and really put some big things into motion for their businesses.

And as I reflected on this retreat, as I do with all of my retreats, one of the things that I can say without a doubt is just how important it is to be in an environment where you are taking time like this to work deeply on your business where you’re able to take the time in the space to really dive in and really create and really shift, whatever it is that needs to be shifted.

And I know for my clients, this is a really important time, these retreats are very, very important to their process to their growth. And they’re always just so transformational. And some of the feedback that I hear so often is that these are the best and most productive retreats that they’ve attended.

And I think in large part this is because I really do meet my clients where they’re at, I really think through the content, I really think through the training. And I also believe it’s because the work that we do inside of these containers is real business coaching.

And I think that’s a big part of the reason my clients have such huge transformations and are able to take away so much and implement so much is because there’s tangible things that they can take every single time. And so in my world, we build real businesses, my friend, we scale real businesses, and it is so much fun.

And I have to say there’s not a lot of fluff, there’s a lot of very actionable, very potent business strategy that I’m sharing that we’re teaching on that we are bringing forth. And there’s also a very high level of coaching. And the standard for the visions that we are holding is very, very high.

And this combination is I believe the best in the industry. And so I would invite you to join us if you are truly serious about growing your business this year. All right. Today, I want to talk to you all about a concept that I have been thinking about lately. And it’s been inspired by some of my own personal work that I’ve been doing. And I decided I wanted to bring it to you today because I think it can be very useful for you.

And so before I get into it, what I will say is that I believe that this is something that you can use in a lot of different scenarios. And for me, it has been a process that has allowed me to really cut through to it so to speak, that has really allowed me to look at a situation for example, or to look at my thoughts about a situation or to look at how I might be feeling in a certain situation or even maybe results that I’ve created in a certain area and really question using this concept, which is what is the utility of this?

And so I’ve really taken this on to ask myself this powerful question in several different examples and several different situations where I might consciously be aware of something that I’m thinking about. Or this has even come into play recently for me as I’ve been doing some deeper inner work and with that have been unearthing different beliefs that I maybe even had a sense where there, but I wasn’t really taking a good look at.

And so as I’ve been in this journey, one of the questions that has really helped me navigate some of these bigger beliefs that I’ve been holding on to is by asking myself the question, what is the utility in this? And what I mean by that is, does this even have any use for me anymore?

So let’s talk about this. This has been a really important distinction for me. And it’s been important because when I step back, and when I look at, again, for myself in the areas that I might personally be questioning, and even when I look at my clients in what is presenting for them, what I find is that there are always certain narratives that tend to surface that so often, it’s a pattern that we have learned a lot of times through childhood, for example, that we might even be consciously trying to work through. And we might even have a conscious awareness of, but when we can step back and ask, in those instances, what is the utility here, in a lot of cases, what it will do is it will stop the spinning, it will stop the doubt it will stop any hesitation or any questioning about a certain topic or a certain situation.

And so what I have found is that this is a really great way to get to the heart of essentially, whether or not there is even use in asking the question anymore? Or, for example, is there use for you to continue to think in this way? Is there use in you continuing to believe certain things that you do?

And in my experience, when you really answer this question, honestly, in the majority of cases, the answer will be no. The answer will be that there actually isn’t any utility and continuing to think, for example, in a certain way. That there actually isn’t utility in continuing to hold on to a certain belief that there isn’t actual use in, for example, spinning on that thing, whatever that might be for you.

And here’s the thing, there will have been a time where you could look back, and you could say, for whatever period of time that there actually was utility for you, there will be a time where you can clearly see, yes, by me choosing to believe this, or by me choosing to think in this way, was actually in your best interest at the time, maybe you made the best decision that you could, given your circumstances at the time.

And what I would offer here to all of you is at the same time, the utility, or the use of you continuing to think in this way or holding on to a certain belief, the truth is, is that it’s no longer there. I see this a lot in my clients who are doing a lot of inner work, where they might be in a season, where they are kind of in the midst of doing a lot of inner work for themselves.

And in some cases, this might be related to the business and other cases, it might not be related to the business. But either way, when you can apply this lens to the situation, when you can apply this to the circumstance, when you can apply this to the thought process. What you will find is that it’s very freeing when you can look at a situation or again a belief system on how you might be approaching something, or even what you might be doubting in that moment.

And when you can ask yourself this question. More often than not, when you truly answer the question, “Is this useful for me,” the majority of the time, you will find that it’s actually no longer useful, that there no longer is utility in you continuing to think or believe in a certain way.

So I want to offer to all of you what a powerful question this is. What a powerful question this can be, especially if you find yourself in a place where you’re spinning or you’re doubting, or you’re looking at a circumstance where you’re feeling a lot of resistance. What I would invite you to do is to really ask yourself, and then honestly answer, what it is that you’re thinking or believing or doing. Whatever that is, to ask yourself whether or not it’s useful for you at this point, and nine times out of 10 if you answer honestly, the answer will probably be no.

And what you will find is your next step will then be revealed to you immediately. So my friends, I invite you to try this on. This is a very powerful question. This is a very powerful shift in perspective that I’m giving you here. And I know it can really serve you and it can really serve you in the pursuit of your goals.
