How To Get More Time

“This is the key to time management – to see the value of every moment.” Menachem Mendel Schneerson

Time. It’s arguably our most valuable asset. Almost all of us would agree that it’s something we don’t have enough of. And most of us want more of it.

One of the most common obstacles for my clients is that “I don’t have the time” or “I just can’t fit everything in”, especially when we discuss their current and future goals.

Days are spent rushing out the door, dropping off and picking up the kids at daycare/preschool, sitting in traffic, sitting in countless meetings throughout the day (and not getting any of our real work done), rushing to get home, rushing to get dinner on the table and then out the door to the next activity.

So how do we get more time in our day?

The answer is this – in the way we manage it. When we can learn to manage our time more effectively we can ultimately create more time within the time that we do have. Time, after all, is a mental construct. In fact, the definition of time is this: “the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.”. And when we take that into consideration, the way we manage our minds around our day is how we perceive the time that we have.

So if you are looking for more time in your life, one of the first questions I would ask you is “How are you currently using your time?”. And by really digging into this, we might be surprised with how little time you are spending on what matters most to you. But the good news is that we can figure out a plan to get you to where you want to be.
